:: A Bright Summer Day @ Lola's ::

Hey girls!

A few days ago I had my scheduled appointment at Lola's to get my gelish nails done, and I wanted a bright summery look this time. So as soon as I was shown the array of colours, a beautiful highlighted coral immediately caught my eye!

The colour I picked is called 'Put the Top Down' by the brand Thailion. I love how bright and summery it is, encapsulating the summer vibes even better; Thumbs up for that!

Even though the colour is a bit limiting, having it last perfectly without chipping for a minimum of three weeks is a definite plus, not to mention that one can always put on a layer of topcoat and put on another nail polish if a very special occasion is coming up!

It also looks great on, with a tan, next to the beach laying on a colourful towel and sipping on a slushie! What are your beach must-haves? x

I hope you enjoyed this short post and I'll talk to you soon! Have a great day! xxx

:: Aussie Brand Launch - You, with a touch of purple! ::

Hey girls!

Last Thursday I was invited to attend the official launch of the brand Aussie which was held at The Galley in Ta Xbiex. Aussie is a brand of hair products promising natural beautiful hair with a flawless finish. The lines include shampoos and conditioners, treatments, stylers as well as finishes.

The launch party resembled a get-together; apart from getting to meet a bunch of amazing people for the first time, I also got to mingle with some fellow bloggers, youtubers and other people from the local fashion industry over some amazing BBQ and lemonade!

I am very excited to try out some of these new products as I have heard amazing things about them, especially the Dual Personality Anti-Frizz Line! I will definitely let you know how that goes!

In addition, they held a competition at the event itself, to win an amazing hamper containing all the Aussie products which have been introduced in Malta, presented by the beautiful Marija Mijovic from VJ Salomone Marketing.

Just before we left, we were given a little goodie-bag containing some shampoo and conditioner from the Miracle Moist Line, which I will definitely be trying out and sharing my thoughts with you!

The Aussie products as offered by VJ Salomone Marketing are currently available at Smart Supermarket, GS Naxxar, Park Towers St. Venera and Carters Tarxien. One may also find some selected products at Remi Hairdressing. However, in no time, the full line-up of products will also be available at Shoppers in Mellieha, as well as on the official VJ Salomone Marketing online shop: http://shop.vjsm.com.mt/

Let me know your thoughts about the Aussie brand and their products! Have you ever tried any of them before?

:: Adventure Blog #1 ::

Hey girls!

This is a relatively different post compared to the ones I usually post, but I've been given the opportunity to live a beautiful camping experience and I was intrigued to share it with you! I hope you'll enjoy it!

I can't say that I'm the adventurous type, however I decided to go on this short camping trip. We left on Saturday afternoon and made it back on Sunday 10th.

We had to walk quite a bit to get to the place where we set up camp, but the scenery was to die for - I started to appreciate the beauty of nature and the clean air.

We set up camp very close to the sea, which made the experience that much better!

After we settled down, we decided to go have a swim and watch the sun set! This was without a doubt one of the most scenic moments of this trip - everyone was very relaxed and calm!

We later returned, had dinner and chatted, and went to 'bed' (we slept on rock!). After a relatively harsh night (a new appreciation for my bed haha!) we went to look for some shore wildlife such as crabs, and we stumbled upon some peculiar creatures!

After another quick dip in the sea, we packed up everything and started our way back up the hill. This time it was not as pleasant due to the heat and the lack of sleep; but nonetheless we enjoyed every minute of it and I am open for another adventure!

We did not take much with us, apart from the essentials such as food and water. I personally took some sleeping clothes and the outfit as shown below. My shoes are from a local store in Rabat, my shorts are from New Look, and my plain white tee is from Pimkie.

I went completely make-up free, so I brought absolutely no make-up with me. The only beauty product that I brought along was the Olay Complete Lightweight Day Fluid for Normal/Dry Skin with SPF 15.  I applied it throughout the trip to keep my skin hydrated and to protect me from the sun.

I hope you enjoyed this post girls; it is quite different but I loved snapping the pictures for you! I plan to do similar posts more often, so let me know what you think! Have a great day! xx

:: Pantene Products Review ::

Hey girls!

I've recently been trying out some new Pantene products, and I fell in love with them, so I thought I'd share my thoughts and experience with you!

I got the opportunity to review the Pantene Pro-V Smooth & Sleek Shampoo and Conditioner and the Pantene 2 Minutes Deep Smoothening Mask for Normal/ Thick Hair.

I will start by writing about the shampoo and conditioner; The Pro-V stands for Pro-Vitamin B5. Pantene have a wide range of Pro-V products, however this is the one which I thought would mostly help my dry (and frizzy!) hair. In fact, on the packaging itself the products state that they are intended to smoothen rough and frizzy hair - JACKPOT!

I was quite impressed with these products, as they helped me achieve healthier looking hair, while generally strengthening the hair.. The shampoo has a creamy and thick texture, which is white in colour, not to mention the amazing scent! They basically worked by controlling frizz and providing a sleek and silky look! I definitely recommend you to try them out girls!

I also got the opportunity to try out the Pantene Deep Smoothening Mask for Normal to Thick Hair. This product works by applying it to damp hair starting from the tips and finishing at the roots, leaving it in for approximately two minutes, and rinsing out. The texture and scent are very similar to the shampoo and conditioner - very fruity and permeating!

It also comes in this handy-dandy packaging, making it super-easy to open in the shower with those slippery and soapy hands! I sometimes also apply it after coming up from the water at the beach, ensuring that my hair doesn't frizz and go crazy (nobody wants that!)

I hope you enjoyed this post girls! Let me know of any requests or ideas that you have! Summer has started and I have ample time to try out and review products!

:: June Beauty Favourites ::

Hey there girls!

I decided to share with you some of the beauty products which I've been obsessed with during the past month! Some of them I've been ranting about for months now, but I also have some new goodies which I'd like to talk to you about!

1. Olay Refreshing Facial Cleansing Gel - I have featured this product in numerous favourites, and the reason is that I just love it that much! I absolutely love the scent and the texture of it, not to mention how well it works for my skin. It leaves the skin feeling refreshed - a definite must-have!

 2. Multi-Tasking 4-In-1 Face Wipes - I have only started using these about a week ago, and they are my new favourite make-up removing wipes for a quick wash! I use these to remove the majority of my make-up, and then follow up with a face scrub, cleanser, and moisturiser!

3.  The Body Shop Pinita Colada Fresh Body Sorbet - This is another product which I have ranted about numerous times! I use it for numerous reasons; to freshen up before going out, making me feel extra-confident in a dress or shorts, I also apply it as after-sun, as it helps to cool off the skin, I am also obsessed with its coconut-pineapple smell; honestly, you must visit The Body Shop and have a sniff! You won't regret it!

4. John Frieda Full Repair Hydrate+Rescue Deep Conditioner - This product has helped my hair so much these past two months! I wash my hair with Shampoo and Conditioner, and then apply this in the shower and leave it on for approx. 5 minutes, and rinse it out. Sometimes I also take it with me to the beach and apply it on wet hair. It reverses any damage done to the hair, not to mention to scent!

5. The Body Shop Shea Body Mist - This scent, together with the Coconut Body mist are my all-time favourite body mists from The Body Shop. I highly recommend purchasing any of them, as they are both very summery scents! They're also great to carry around in your purse, and spritz as you go about your day!

6. Sleek Lip VIP Semi-Matte Lipstick Flaunt It - This lip colour is my No.1 for the summer months; its very vibrant and bright - bringing that some extra character to your make-up look. I definitely recommend Sleek as a brand, but more precisely the Lip VIP line!

7. Essence Sheer & Shine Lipsticks in 'I Feel Pretty' and 'Like a Princess' - These two sheer lipsticks, especially the latter one, are perfect for throwing in your purse and applying on the go! They are very long-lasting and inexpensive! I also love applying them to the beach; avoiding over-the-top make-up looks, but ensuring a gorgeous pop of colour to your lips!

8. Inglot Freedom System Palette - This has been my favourite since the very beginning! In fact, my first ever post on my blog was a review of this palette! I love how it has three basic colours; very blendable and longlasting. It is also ideal to travel with!

These products have been some of my top beauty favourites for the month of June. I plan to do this post monthly or at least, for-monthly, depending on whether I would have new favourites for that month! I hope you enjoyed this post and feel free to let me know some of your own favourites; I love trying out new products!
