:: Beauty Travel Essentials ::

Hello there gorgeous!

So, I just returned from a weekend break, also known as the period of time where one does absolutely nothing except enjoy life and be as lazy as possible! However having said that, I still attempted to look presentable, so I decided I'd share with you the few beauty products I took with me; the ones I simply can't live without when away from home! 
The first essentials I wanted to share with you are my two favourite eyeshadow palettes. These are the Inglot Freedom System Eyeshadow Palette and the Essence All About Bronze Eyeshadow Palette. Sticking to neutrals allows you to easily apply bolder lip colours - which is what I usually go for! 

When it comes to make-up brushes, I carry with me the following three everywhere I go. The first is a wooden brush I got off eBay which I use to apply blusher. It genuinely works wonders, and I haven't yet found a better one! The next one is a brush called Smudger from The Body Shop, which I use daily on my eyebrows. Lastly, I use another brush called the Smudge Brush which I also got off eBay, (which came in a set) to apply my eyeshadow.

The next set of essentials have to do with skincare. Being away from home is no excuse to abandon your skin! I have posted a 'Favourite Skincare Products' post a while ago, where these products have also been featured - they are the holy grail for me! A quick 5-minute routine before bed will solve an amazing amount of skin problems, believe me! The products I used were the Simple Kind to Skin Hydrating Light Moisturizer, the Simple Kind to Skin Hydrating Facial Scrub, and the Simple Kind to Skin Deep Cleansing Face Wash.  

The following products are what I call the basics (hence the look!) These are the four products which in my opinion, are a must! The first is the Essence Plump no Clump Mascara. My eyeliner is the Sibella Make up Milano. The blush varies between the Rimmel Rose  and Wynie Blush. The latter definitely wins on pigment though! Lastly, for foundation I use Essence Stay all Day Long-Lasting.

Now the lips- This is where I go crazy! I'm quite aware that I only have one pair of lips, but I still feel the need to bring seven lip colours with me! I feel that the lips complete the look! My favourite product is the Revlon Colour Burst in Standout . I love how moisturising it is, and also the smell! Another product which I love is the Essence in Barely There  (06)& On the Catwalk (04) Lipsticks.

:: Persona Med-Clinic Event - SkinCeuticals Cosmetics ::

Hey Girls!

So today's post is somewhat different; a while ago I was invited to attend a Persona Med-Clinic Event at the Westin Dragonara Resort, St Julians. In short, this included the presentation and launch of the new line of SkinCueticals Cosmetics at Persona for this new year. SkinCeuticals is the only range in stock at Persona, while also being regarded as the No.1 Skincare brand in the United States by dermatologists.

SkinCeuticals addresses mainly a medical purpose, fighting against sun damage, pollution and stress. The company was born in 1997 from decades of skin cancer research by Dr Sheldon R. Pinnell (1937-2013). He has more than one hundred publications regarding skincare as well as four patents.

These products are only sold at medical centers such as Persona, as the company respects the need of consumers to follow a sort of routine, these same consumers are highly educated as they carry out a lot of research regarding their skin prior to purchasing the products.

The night's three largest launches were the following:

1. Daily TRx for Hyperpigentation 'Advanced Pigment Corrector' 
2. Daily Chemical Free Tinted Sun Screen ( Universal Tint to match all complexions!)
3. Resveratrol B.E: Night Concentrate : Skin Texture, Firmness and Elasticity. 

For anybody whose wondering the place of purchase, here it comes! So, Persona's website is www.persona.com.mt where one can purchase numerous products online. In addition to this, they sell these same products on a one-to-one basis at their centers. 

Some examples of their services are Botox, Facials, Hair Removal, Breast Augmentation, Smart Liposuction, and Rhinoplasty among a lengthy list of others. 

The Persona Med-Aesthetic Center was founded in 2010, and it derived its name from the term 'person'. The reason for this is that they strive to build a company rotating around people, its customers. 

It ultimately aims at providing a customer-centric experience, achieving the best results while at no point compromising health. They aim at providing value for money. Acting on their past plans, they have won numerous excellence awards and testimonials. They are divided into the following five:

1. Health & Beauty
2. Cosmetic Surgery

The company greatly aids Malta Hospice Movement which helps around 900+ patients yearly. Throughout the night, SkinCeuticals products were sold, a total of twenty percent which were donated to Hospice Movement. The donation came in the form of ten percent which was donated by Persona, as well as another ten percent of all the products sold on the night. This charity campaign is planned to span a whole year, with Persona Med-Aesthetic Centre donating five percent of its yearly SkinCeuticals sales to the same Charity Movement. In addition to the above, forming part of the same campaign, Persona made a donation to Prof. Joseph L. Pace, which is the President of Malta Association of Dermatology & Venereology, also known as MADV. :: Revlon Colour Burst Matte Review ::

Hey there girls! 

About a week ago, I managed to get my hands on the majority of the Revlon ColourBurst Matte Balms. At first glance, I was immediately blown away by their cute packaging and adorable colours! However, as soon as I opened the product, I was even more elated; they're twistables! 

This range boasts vibrant colours infused with a Triple Butter Complex, which give you a gorgeously bold lip. Even though the product's finish is matte, it is very hydrating having a balm-like moisture. 

1. No. 250 - Standout Remarquable 

This is definitely my personal favourite! Anyone that knows me personally, knows that I simply adore bright and bold colours. I feel that they suit most faces and complexions best, however that's my personal opinion!  This is at the top of my recommend list!

Without a doubt another one of my favourites! Once again, its dark tones bring out my complexion best, which is why I immediately took a liking for it. Winter lipstick shades are my happy place! :)

This shade of red is truly what its name indicates. It is perfect for any occasion, whether it's a holiday like Christmas or Valentine's Day, date night or even a day out with your besties! Moreover, it can easily take you from day to night! A perfect addition to any girl's make-up collection!

4. No. 245 - Audacious Audacieuse 

Pretty gorgeous colour for the summer days if you ask me! Being honest, it might not be the colour for everyone, but for those who are able to rock this shade, go ahead and make it your own! This can easily be a show stopper in any occasion, and I suggest you write the name down because you'll definitely get asked about it!

5. No. 255 - Enchanting Ravissante 

This shade is the queen of neutrals! For those of you who simply adore giving more attention to your eyes, this shade is the one for you. It keeps the lips simple, and highlights the eyes further, so those who apply on-point eye makeup, make sure to pick yourself one of these babies!

6. No. 205 - Elusive Insaisissable 

This is a gorgeous light pink shade; ideal for summer days next to the beach, getting sunkissed and covered in sand! This tone is definitely a playful and fun one, suitable for almost all occasions! #summerherewecome!

7. No. 220 - Showy Flamboyante 

Another beyond gorgeous bright shade! This can definitely be worn throughout the year; and just like the majority of the above colours, to any occasion! The most important thing is that you feel great about yourself, and that you enjoy rocking it out! :)

:: Favourite Online Beauty Purchases ::

Hey there lovelies! 

       Anyone that knows me personally, knows how obsessed I am about online shopping. Don't get me wrong, nothing beats the experience of browsing shops over and over and feeling those beautiful fabrics, however, buying things one click after another is honestly addicting! Especially when you know your purchases will not cost you much! :) 

Through this post I want to share with you my Top 5 favourite beauty products from eBay. So, here we go!

1. Lipstick Palette

This lipstick palette is without doubt one of my top favourites! Admittedly, I don't like all the shades, however as the picture clearly illustrates that the bright pink is my chosen go-to. However, most of the colours are simply gorgeous such as the plum colour on the bottom right, and the neutral shades on the left! I use the top left one ( a shimmery transparent) as a kind of lip gloss over other matt lipsticks. 

2. Davis Cosmetics Wood Lipliners 

This trio of lip liners, are genuinely to die for! Originally they come in a set of about ten, however admittedly I was not crazy over most of them, so I decided to opt for the single purchase, and ordered them separately. I love dark colours such as maroon and plum for the lips, so when I saw these I got way too excited! I definitely recommend girls :)

3. Art Cosmetics Toronto in 'Matte Diva' 

The first thought I had when I received and opened this product up in the mail, was how much the packaging resembled that of the popular MAC lipsticks. This put me off slightly, however as soon as I tried it on I fell in love! This is a product for those ladies who love the mattes! The one I purchased is in a beautiful 'light' maroon colour, but the range is endless! Here is a swatch! :) 

4. Wood Cosmetic Tools Set

This is a perfect start-up set for any person who is starting to get interested in make-up, especially the application of eyeshadow. I have had this set for about two years, but I still use most of the brushes in my daily routine! The set includes, an Eyeliner Brush and an Eyeshadow Brush, which I use obsessively. It also came with a Nose Shadow Brush among others, which I use to shape my eyebrows :) 

5. Heng Fang Balm Lipsticks 

This also came in a set of nine or twelve lipsticks, which I've had for the past year. Some of them, I disliked and the rest I've either used up or gave to someone. The texture of these products is very hydrating, however it dries matte and is relatively smudge-proof. It is definitely worth the purchase - I definitely recommend! 

I am (pretty much!) obsessed with online shopping, especially when the products do not cost much. The reason is that I love experimenting with new colours and shades, therefore I prefer to spend less to test the colour, and then invest in a relatively more expensive product which carries that shade. This is usually the plan, however more often than not, I am incapable of letting go of the previously bought products, as they are not always low-quality. Sometimes, I simply fall in love with them! :: Favourite SkinCare Products ::

Hello girls! 

Sorry it took a while since my last upload, but I'm FINALLY (!!!) done with my exams, and can now focus more on my blog! A while ago I've gotten a request for me to share with you my favourite skincare products, so here it is! 

Clinians Attiva Anti-stress 

1. Clinians Attiva Anti-Stress Tonico Rinfrescante - This is one of the best smelling toners I have ever used. I simply pour some of it onto a cotton pad, and dab it onto my face. Admittedly, I don't use this product often, but when I do, it makes me feel great! 

La Roche-Posay Effaclar Matt

2. La Roche-Posay Effaclar Matt - This moisturiser works wonders! It has a thick consistency, however it is very easy to message into the skin. I truly encourage you to give this one a try! 

Nivea Maschera Anti-Stres Pure & Natural 

3. Nivea Maschera Anti-Stress Pure & Natural - This mask is amazing! To start with it is very inexpensive and they have numerous scents to choose from, as well as numerous products for different skin types. This is the one I'm currently using, however the whole Nivea line is to die for! 








4. Fresh & Clean Pelli Secche e Sensibili  - These make-up remover wipes are very common, I purchased mine from a local supermarket. Prior to these, I used the Doctor's Wipes with Grape Seed Extract. To be fair, both did the job perfectly, however I couldn't get over the packaging! They also smell divine, so give them a try! 




5. Simple Kind to Skin Smoothing Facial Scrub - Simple is life. I simply love Simple! Puns Over - This facial scrub works wonders, I use it together with the rest of the Simple Line, however it was my first ever Simple purchase and I loved it from the beginning! 

6. Simple Kind to Skin Deep Cleansing Face Mask - I apply this mask using the Aqua Message Levatrucco Sponges. The reason is that the product's consistency is not the thickest, and I feel that I get the best results when its applied with these sponges rather than with my hands. 

7. Simple Kind to Eyes Eye Make-up Remover - I don't know if you've noticed yet, but the Simple range truly attracts me! I apply some of the product onto a cotton pad, and then take my eye make-up  off (obv!). Then I rinse my eyes from the remaining make-up and product since it is quite gooey, but it works believe me! 

8. Simple Kind to Skin Hydrating Light Moisturizer - Last favourite!  I currently use this interchangeably with my La Roche-Posay Moisturiser, however I truly love both of them! The former is more on the affordable side, and for that reason it might win me over when one of them runs out!

:: Quick and Easy Make-Up Look::

Hello there pretty ladies!

A few days ago I had an exam, and like most people, I stumbled out of the house in the morning in a rush. The day's priority is not to look good, but rather to absorb that last bit of information before the exam. 

However, there is no need to look like you've just fallen out of bed! A balance must be established. So today, I'm going through the very simple, and quick make-up look I wore for that morning. 

I'm going to list all the products I have used to achieve this look. It is in no way fancy, but it makes you feel a little bit more put together. I don't know about you, but feeling good bot myself makes me do so much better in life in general; especially in an exam! 

1. Essence Stay All-Day Long-Lasting Foundation
2. Collection Work the Colour EyeBrow Kit
3. ColorTrend Comb It Eyebrow Gel
4. Sibella Milano Smooth Touch Black Eyeliner
5. Essence Plump no Clump Deep Black Volume Mascara

(I also used a sponge to apply my foundation which I do not know the brand to!)

A bright/dark lip tends to imply that you have put in more effort, however if you're not into it, a natural lipstick will do just fine! My go-to natural lipsticks are Rimmel London Kate in 'Pink Blush' No.6, Heng Fang Balm Lipstick No.1 or the Essence Cosmetics 'Natural Beauty' Lipstick No.7.

I hope you found this helpful, and do not shy away from trying new lip-colours! I suggest testing the waters with less expensive brands such as Essence Cosmetics or Catrice to make sure you like the look of it, before investing!

:: 5 Things to Treat Yourself to During Exams! ::

Good morning everyone!

Firstly I would like to excuse myself for being away for so long. The reason is mainly, that I'm during exams and time is very limited right now. I'm presuming that most of you are also during exams, so this post is dedicated to you guys!

I'm going to go through 5 things which I think you should treat yourself with during this period. I hope it helps! :) 

1. Any cute stationary which you think you'd enjoy, be it new felt pens or pencils, highlighters, new notebooks, anything which would make you happy. Anyone that knows me, knows how obsessed I am over pencils and all stationary! During exams, there is nothing you can do except study, but anything colourful will definitely boost your morals! This is my current setup but feel free to do you! :) 

2. Right before exams, or during, I suggest that you treat yourself to a facial (or a trip to your hairdresser!). The reason is that if you're going to be stuck at home for about 2 weeks, you might not feel the best about yourself. Going hand in hand with this, maybe treat yourself to a good moisturizer or something similar? The two I'm using right now are the La Roche-Posay Effaclar Mat and the Simple Kind to Skin Hydrating Moisturizer. 

3. The third thing I'm finding very useful during exams, is a large blanket to cuddle in while studying not-so-exciting-things! My course mates will definitely relate to that! With the temperature suddenly falling outside, I'm sure that a warm blanket and a cup of hot chocolate won't do bad to anybody! 

4. Moreover, treat your beautiful selves to great nights of sleep. I might take this too far by sleeping 9-10 hours (I know I'm lazy!), but it's honestly the most important thing. It helps you wake up energised and ready to work - so I strongly encourage that! 

5. Lastly, allow yourself to splurge on something once exams are finsihed. That way, you'll have something to look forward to! This could range from an aquarium, to a handbag, a camera... anything you set your mind to. But having something as a reward truly helps you study with a positive vibe!
